Organising a hen party for a friend or your sister and not sure where to start? You can plan a hen party in Warsaw down to the last detail without it turning into a logistical marathon for the organiser. All it takes is breaking the preparations down into a few simple stages.
Below you’ll find a step-by-step plan – from the first conversation about the date, through the budget and accommodation, to the main event of the evening and the after-party. At the end there’s a sample schedule and answers to the questions we hear most often.
Planning a hen party in Warsaw in 9 steps
The order matters: first agree things with the bride-to-be and the group, then make the bookings, and leave the details until last. That way you won’t book an activity that doesn’t fit the budget or the style of the evening.
1. Find out what the bride-to-be wants
Before you book anything, find out – directly or through someone close to her – whether the bride-to-be dreams of a wild night, a relaxing day at the spa or a mix of the two. Also decide whether it’s all going to be a surprise or whether you’d rather plan it together. If there are things she doesn’t like, it’s better to know from the start.
2. Choose the date and draw up the guest list
It’s best to start 6–8 weeks before the planned date. A weekend two or three weeks before the wedding leaves time to recover, and it’s easier to find a free date in your friends’ diaries. Collect the guest list with phone numbers and set up a group chat on a messaging app – that’s where all the arrangements will go.
3. Work out the budget per person
Agree on an amount that works for everyone and split it into accommodation, activities, dinner and small extras. The rest of the group usually shares the bride-to-be’s costs – it’s worth saying so right away. Collect payments up front, so nobody has to settle bills during the party.
4. Book accommodation close to the centre
If some of the group are coming from outside Warsaw, choose an apartment or hotel in Śródmieście (the city centre) or Powiśle. From there it’s a short trip to restaurants, clubs and most attractions, and you can get around quickly by metro and tram. For a Friday-to-Monday stay, a weekend public transport ticket comes in handy – there’s also a group version for up to five people. We can also help you find accommodation and transport.
5. Plan the afternoon
Fill the time before the main party with something that brings the group together: a spa with massages, a cocktail or dance workshop, cooking together or karaoke. A photo shoot with a photographer also works brilliantly – in Łazienki Królewskie (Royal Łazienki Park), in the Old Town or among the colourful lights of the Neon Museum in Kamionek. You’ll find more photo spots in our list of things to do in Warsaw.
6. Book dinner for the whole group
Dinner together is the moment for toasts, presents and the first memories. For a larger group, book a table in advance and ask about a group menu – it saves time when ordering and paying. If tastes in the group vary, a food hall such as Hala Koszyki is a good choice, as everyone will find something they like.
7. Choose the main event of the evening
This is the part you’ll remember most, so make it unusual. A boat cruise on the Vistula and a private tram party both work well. On the tram, the bride-to-be steps on board via a red carpet, followed by music, lights and a ride along the capital’s main streets – just for your group. You can add interior decoration, catering, photo coverage or an HD souvenir video, and round off the evening with a fireworks show. You’ll find details and packages on our hen party tram in Warsaw page.
8. Plan the after-party
After the main event, move on to the area around Mazowiecka Street, Nowy Świat or Powiśle – the clubs and bars are close together, so it’s easy to hop from one to the next. With a larger group, book a table or a booth, as getting in without a reservation can be tricky at weekends. If you don’t want to hunt for venues yourselves, we can provide a party host to guide you around the city.
9. Finalise the details
A theme and dress code, a sash or veil for the bride-to-be, a shared playlist, small gifts for the guests – details like these set the mood and look great in photos. The day before, send everyone the plan with times and addresses, and keep a list of phone numbers for every place where you have a booking.

Practical tips
- One decision-maker – lots of people can help, but it’s best to leave contact with venues and the final decisions to one organiser.
- Plan B – for a rainy day, keep an indoor activity up your sleeve, such as karaoke, an escape room or a workshop.
- A keepsake – ask one person to collect photos and videos from everyone; a shared album is a present the bride will appreciate after the wedding.
- Getting back at night – check the route to your accommodation in advance: night buses run after midnight, and there are also taxis and ride-hailing apps.
