Lodz has an advantage that can’t be faked: instead of falling into ruin, many of its old factories have become cultural centres, restaurants and event spaces. That’s why a corporate event in Lodz doesn’t have to mean yet another banqueting suite with white tablecloths – it can take place in the hall of a former power station, within the brick walls of a spinning mill or on a tram riding through the city centre.
Below you’ll find an overview of post-industrial event venues, team-building ideas and a sample evening plan – from the business part of the day to the after-party.
Why Lodz works for company events
Lodz lies right in the middle of Poland, close to the junction of the A1 and A2 motorways, and Lodz Fabryczna station is in the city centre. For companies with teams spread around the country, that makes it a convenient meeting point. The main post-industrial venues are no more than a few kilometres apart, so in a single day you can combine a conference, sightseeing and an evening party.
Post-industrial venues for a corporate event in Lodz
Each of these venues has a different character – from conference-style to clubby – so choose one that fits the purpose of your event: team building, rewarding your staff or meeting clients.
1. EC1 – the Machine Hall of a former power station
At the city’s first municipal power station, you can hire the historic Hala Maszyn (Machine Hall), which hosts company meetings and banquets, among other events, as well as conference rooms, an auditorium set up inside the old power plant’s boiler, and a planetarium. It’s a good choice for a conference with an evening programme in an industrial setting – especially if some guests arrive by train at nearby Lodz Fabryczna station.
2. Monopolis
In the restored buildings of the former vodka factory on Kopcińskiego Street, you can have dinner at one of the restaurants and see a concert or a show at Scena Monopolis (the Monopolis Stage). The brick courtyards and carefully designed interiors make it a good place for an evening with your team or a meeting with an important client.
3. Manufaktura
In Izrael Poznański’s former industrial empire, your team can start with a visit to the Muzeum Fabryki (Factory Museum) and move on in the evening to one of the restaurants on the market square. In summer the square has beer gardens and concerts, so it’s easy to plan a relaxed outing after the formal part. Right next door stands the Poznański Palace, home to the Muzeum Miasta Łodzi (Museum of the City of Lodz) – a ready-made programme item for guests from abroad.
4. OFF Piotrkowska
The courtyard of the former Ramisch spinning mill at Piotrkowska 138/140 offers restaurants, bars, food trucks and clubs in one place. For less formal team building it’s spot on: everyone can find something they like, and the group still stays together. With a larger team, book tables at one venue in advance so you have a base of your own.
5. Księży Młyn and the Muzeum Kinematografii
A walk around Księży Młyn, Karol Scheibler’s factory estate with its spinning mill, workers’ houses and former fire station, is an interesting addition to the programme for a team keen to learn about the city’s history. In the nearby Scheibler Palace, the Muzeum Kinematografii (Museum of Cinematography) has a seminar and screening room for meetings – ask the museum directly about available dates.
6. A private tram – an event on the move
A party tram is an event venue that carries your guests between items on the programme by itself. On board we can provide a professional sound system and club lighting, a welcome drink, a dedicated party host, hostesses or bartenders, and hot, cold or BBQ catering. On request we’ll add a flair bartending show, team-building games, a live performance and a banner with your company logo on the tram. We’ll match the route to your schedule – for example, the ride can go near Manufaktura, along Kościuszki Avenue and past EC1. You’ll find the details on our corporate event on a tram in Lodz page.
Team-building ideas
- A city game around the murals – teams on bikes, including e-bikes, track down works from the Urban Forms Gallery and solve tasks on tablets.
- Guided tours – the Muzeum Fabryki, the Centralne Muzeum Włókiennictwa (Central Museum of Textiles) in Biała Fabryka (the White Factory) and the EC1 Science and Technology Centre are places where everyone will discover something.
- Dinner with a surprise – after dinner, a tram waits at the stop nearest the restaurant to take the team on a two-hour party around the city.
- Flair bartending show – bottle juggling on board the tram will get even the most reserved department going.
- A reward for the best – a tram party voucher, valid for 6 months, makes a great prize in a company competition.

Practical tips
- Booking order – lock in the venue and the tram first, then finalise the restaurant, the guide and any extra attractions.
- Logistics – plan the programme so that nobody has to look for transport after each item. The tram can pick the group up from a stop by the hotel and drop them off near the restaurant.
- Something for everyone – not everyone likes dancing, so with a larger team plan a quieter part of the evening too, along with soft drinks.
- A keepsake – photo coverage and an HD souvenir video will come in handy for internal communications, on the intranet and on social media.
