Factory owners’ palaces, a mirrored courtyard off Piotrkowska Street, walls covered in murals and a street where there’s always something going on in the evening – Lodz has everything you need for a great girls’ night out. You can plan a hen party in Lodz to be elegant, or loud and lasting until dawn – and ideally a bit of both.
Below you’ll find 10 hen party ideas for Lodz, a sample plan for the day and answers to the questions bridesmaids ask us most often.
Where to start planning
First, put together the guest list and ask the bride-to-be whether she’d prefer a complete surprise or would like a say in the programme. The number of people decides which activities make sense: a few friends will fit around one table in a cocktail bar, but with a bigger group – colleagues from work, sisters and cousins – it’s better to hire something just for yourselves, such as a private tram. Tell everyone the cost per person straight away to avoid awkward conversations later.
10 ideas for a hen party in Lodz
1. A party tram just for you
Two hours on a private tram where you can dance, sing and take photos you couldn’t take anywhere else. We’ll decorate the interior in the colours of your night, champagne or prosecco can be waiting for you at the start, and there can be surprises for the bride-to-be during the ride. You’ll find the packages and extras on our hen party tram in Lodz page – and if the boys are celebrating too, take a look at our stag do offer.
2. A photo shoot in Pasaż Róży
The courtyard of the tenement building at Piotrkowska 3 is covered in a mosaic of mirror fragments – Pasaż Róży (Rose’s Passage) is an installation by Joanna Rajkowska and one of the most photogenic spots in the city. A few shots in matching dresses or with the bride-to-be’s sash, and your keepsake is ready. If you prefer colour, pose under the mural with the portrait of Artur Rubinstein on the corner of Sienkiewicza and Traugutta streets.
3. An afternoon in a factory owner’s palace
The Poznański Palace at Ogrodowa 15, home to the Muzeum Miasta Łodzi (Museum of the City of Lodz), is full of industrialist splendour: the grand staircase familiar from the film The Promised Land (Ziemia obiecana) and richly decorated salons. This calmer item on the programme works well when mums, sisters and aunts are coming along too.
4. A cocktail workshop
A bartender will show you how to make a few classic drinks, and at the end you’ll come up with a signature cocktail in honour of the bride-to-be. Group workshops are run by bartending schools and some bars. For a less party-minded group, a wine tasting is a good alternative.
5. A dance routine for the wedding
Hire a room at a dance studio and learn a short routine to the bride-to-be’s favourite song with an instructor – heels dance, burlesque or Latin. In the evening you can perform it on the tram or on the dance floor, and the rehearsal video could become the hit of the wedding.
6. A spa and a day in bathrobes
Before the big night out, it’s worth slowing down: a sauna, a massage, face masks and a glass of prosecco. Ask about group packages at hotels with a spa area and at beauty salons, and with a bigger group book well ahead, especially for a Saturday.
7. Dinner at Monopolis
Behind the brick walls of the former vodka factory on Kopcińskiego Street you’ll find restaurants, while Scena Monopolis (the Monopolis Stage) hosts concerts and shows. It’s the place for an elegant dinner in a factory setting – perfect if you want the first part of the evening to be more stylish than wild.
8. An evening at the theatre or a stand-up show
Lodz has a rich theatre and music scene, so it’s easy to find something for the whole group – from musicals to cabaret and stand-up. Buy your tickets together, and after the show move on to dinner or straight to the tram. For popular shows, it’s worth buying tickets a few weeks in advance.
9. Piotrkowska and OFF Piotrkowska at night
After dinner, head for Piotrkowska Street: the promenade, beer gardens, cocktail bars and clubs. Most of the action is in the courtyard of OFF Piotrkowska in the former Ramisch spinning mill, where bars, restaurants and clubs are all in one place. With a big group, book a table, especially on a Friday or Saturday.
10. Brunch the next day
A good hen party ends with breakfast together. Choose a place on Piotrkowska or in Manufaktura, order plenty of coffee and look through the photos from the night before. It’s a good moment to give the bride-to-be a keepsake album or a video of the party.
Sample hen party plan in Lodz
- 14:00 – a spa or a dance lesson,
- 16:30 – a photo shoot in Pasaż Róży and by the murals,
- 18:30 – dinner at Monopolis or OFF Piotrkowska,
- 20:30 – a private tram with decorations and prosecco to start,
- 22:30 – cocktail bars and a club on Piotrkowska,
- 11:00 the next day – brunch.
The tram can start from almost any stop, and we usually agree a final stop in the centre, near Piotrkowska Street, from where it’s easy to walk on to the rest of the night. Bookings must be made at least 5 working days before the party, but for a weekend it’s best to get in touch much earlier.
Practical tips
- Accommodation – an apartment or hotel near Piotrkowska Street saves you hunting for a taxi in the middle of the night.
- Theme – agree on one dress colour or matching headbands; the effect will show straight away in the photos from Pasaż Róży and the tram.
- Payment – you can pay for the tram in cash or by bank transfer, and the payment method is agreed when you book.
- Surprise – tell us your plan and we’ll fine-tune the details together, so that the bride-to-be doesn’t suspect a thing until the very end.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a hen party on a tram in Lodz cost?
The price depends on the package – Basic, Star or VIP – the number of guests and the extras you choose. Package prices apply to groups of at least 30 people, and for smaller groups we prepare an offer on request. You’ll find the current price list on our offer page.
Can we decorate the tram and play our own music?
Of course. Tell us the colours of your night and we’ll decorate the interior to match. You can bring your own sash, veil or balloons. You can connect your own playlist with every package, and with VIP a DJ takes over the decks.
Will there be photos from the party?
Yes – photo coverage is included in the VIP package. With the Basic and Star packages you can order it as an extra, just like an HD souvenir video.
