Szczecin is a great city for a stag do. The centre is compact, the bars and pubs are concentrated around a few streets, and on top of that there are attractions you won’t find anywhere else – the port, the shelter under the main station and beer brewed in the cellars of a Gothic town hall. If you’re planning a Szczecin stag do, below you’ll find ideas that work in practice.
We’ve collected 10 suggestions – from the more laid-back to those with a shot of adrenaline – plus a sample plan for the night and tips for the organiser, who is usually the best man.
How to plan a Szczecin stag do
Start with three decisions: how many of you there will be, how much everyone can spend and what kind of event it should be – active, party or a mix. With a larger group, it’s worth building the plan around one exclusive activity and choosing the rest nearby. Weekend dates go fastest, so book ahead.
- Up to 10 people – a brewery, an escape room, a boat trip and a night out in the bars all work well.
- A dozen or more – think about a tram or a venue all to yourselves.
- Guests from out of town – accommodation in the centre, near Deptak Bogusława (Bogusław Promenade) or the Old Town, makes the logistics easier.
10 stag do ideas in Szczecin
1. A private party on a party tram
A club on wheels sets the tone for the night straight away. For two hours the tram belongs to you alone: the music is playing, and the Star and VIP packages add lighting, effects and lasers, a red carpet entrance and a cooler with ice. In the VIP package, a party host takes care of the programme, a DJ runs the music and photo coverage is included. On request we’ll add catering, a dancer’s performance or decorations to match the theme of the night. You’ll find the details on our stag do tram in Szczecin page.
2. Beer in the Gothic cellars of the town hall
The cellars of the Old Town Hall house a restaurant with the family-run Wyszak brewery, which has won numerous awards in culinary and beer competitions. Gothic vaults, beer brewed on site and cooking based on regional produce make for a strong start to the night. Another address for beer fans is Stara Komenda on plac Batorego – the first brewery built in Szczecin after the war.
3. A harbour cruise
Sightseeing boats leave from below Wały Chrobrego (Chrobry Embankment), and in an hour you’ll see the port, the quays and Łasztownia from the water. It’s a good option for the afternoon before the main party. With a larger group, ask the operator about chartering a boat for a private event.
4. The shelter under the main station
Podziemne Trasy Szczecina (Szczecin Underground Routes) offer three routes in a huge shelter: one about the Second World War, one about the Cold War and the humorous “Selfie z PRL-em” (a selfie with communist-era Poland), with sets inspired by the cult film “Miś”. Guided group tours can be booked for a specific time. It’s chilly inside, and filming is not allowed – but you can take photos.
5. An afternoon of adrenaline
If your crew loves a bit of competition, plan paintball, a shooting range with an instructor, go-karting or racing simulators. Choose a venue that takes groups, book a slot for everyone and schedule this activity before the first beer – at the shooting range and on the track, staying sober is a must.
6. Kayaking in Międzyodrze
For a group that prefers exercise in the fresh air, a guided kayak trip through Międzyodrze – the wetlands between the arms of the Oder – is a great idea. From the water you’ll see Wały Chrobrego and the quays in a completely different way than from land. It’s one for the warmer months, and for the day before the party, not after it.
7. Pubs, bowling and billiards with a party host
If you don’t know Szczecin, you can hire a guide and party host to take you round pubs, bowling alleys or billiards halls – wherever the group fancies. We can also help with accommodation, transport and car hire, including luxury cars.
8. An escape room
An hour in an escape room shows how your team copes under time pressure, and it’s a great warm-up for the evening. With a bigger group, split into two teams and race against each other in two rooms at the same time – the losers buy the first round.
9. Recovery at Fabryka Wody
The day after the party, you’ll need a reset. Fabryka Wody (the Water Factory) is a complex with pools, slides and one of the largest sauna zones in Poland, plus a bowling alley and a climbing wall. A few hours in the water and the sauna will get you back on your feet better than another coffee.
10. Dinner and an after party in the centre
You’ll find the most venues on Deptak Bogusława and the surrounding streets – Jagiellońska, Monte Cassino and al. Wojska Polskiego – as well as on Bulwary Nadodrzańskie (the Oder Boulevards) and in Podzamcze. With a big group, book a table at your first venue and choose the club in advance, especially for a Saturday.

Practical tips
- Budget – collect the money for your Szczecin stag do up front; the cost is usually split across the whole group, and the groom parties at his mates’ expense.
- Outfits – printed T-shirts for the whole group and a special costume for the groom-to-be look great in photos.
- Logistics – end the tram ride where the next part of the night begins, for example near the Oder Boulevards.
- Food – plan a proper dinner before the night out, and snacks or catering on the tram.
